The Sun and Moon meet up in Capricorn on January 16th at 6:17pm Pacific Standard Time for this years Capricorn New Moon. The Powerful Dark Moon energy leading up to the new Moon on the 16th is preparing us for the cycles that are ahead. This deep psychic energy is a bit hard to access as Capricorn pressures have been mounting and we may not be in the best head space for making clear connections at this time. This energy may make it hard for us to truly express ourselves as we would like to be seen unless work has been done to release the fear of judgement from others.
As the Moon passes over Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in the days leading up to the New Moon we are dealing with some very dense energies. The sky lacks planets in Air signs (Libra, Gemini, & Aquarius) at this time. Due to this lack of air energy being available to us we are grasping for pathways to help us communicate better. We are in a desperate search for an explanation as to why we place so much pressure and responsibilities on ourselves. The tendency now is to release this very grounded and confronting energy into space; as we search for the rational for the choices we have made and the issues we are facing. Remembering to breath is important right now as our energy may be off base without the assistance of the mental communicative Air element. The Moon will be passing over Mercury in Capricorn on January 14th lending some relief to this cloudiness.
In addition, Uranus in Aries is making a dynamic square to the New Moon in Capricorn. We can expect the unexpected with the unpredictable Uranus energy forcing us to confront our deepest insecurities and fears through activation of Capricorn lessons of acceptance and non-judgement. We may dive head first into something and then wonder why on Earth we did that! Our intentions are unclear at this New Moon but we look to re-set the course for this cycle. Head into deep meditation to find clarity. Reality has truly set in. Last years energy of the New Moon in Capricorn has come full cycle and we are starting to wake up to the fact that we have real work to do.
